Dr. Boniello was excellent. He carefully evaluated my knees and provided a cortisone shot that helped relieve the pain. He was extremely professional, pleasant, and explained everything in a way that made me feel completely at ease. His calm and thoughtful approach made what could have been a stressful visit very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Dr. Boniollo was very pleasant and took the necessary time to explain to me not only the hip replacement surgery but also what my recovery time might be. He didn’t sugarcoat anything but gave me a clear picture of everything based on my current situation. The honesty was a bit daunting but was also appreciated.
Dr. Anthony Boniello is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of hip and knee arthritis. He provides expertise on knee and hip replacement surgery with interest in minimally invasive techniques, robotic surgery, and outpatient joint replacement surgery.
Dr. Boniello completed his undergraduate degree in Physics and Engineering at Washington & Lee University. He graduated from Jefferson Medical College in 2015 in Philadelphia.
He subsequently began his orthopaedic surgery residency at Hahnemann/Drexel before returning to the Jefferson family for his chief year of residency. Dr. Boniello completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush. He is particularly interested in applying his background in mechanical engineering to the study of material sciences and the design of arthroplasty components.
