My Amsler grid showed that something was up with my eye! I was advised to come in early and had the pleasure of Julie once again doing my vision test. My left eye was fine., but my right eye, could barely register a shape! I was trying not to look at panicked when I could not read any of the letters with my right eye! In the nicest softness most reassuring Voice she said,” just tell your head just a little bit or look at a different angle?”
She was so reassuring, and so calm! we continued the test with me able to see just fine… are things considered!
Julie is truly an asset to your team!
And of course, Dr. Baranano is “ simply the best!”

She later completed her residency and fellowship at Doheny Eye Institute, University of Southern California. She is an active researcher and has published a study on the use of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) for patients with age-related macular degeneration. She has a special interest in uveitis and complex vitreoretinal surgery such as diabetic retinal detachments. Dr. Barañano received first place recognition as the “Best in Eye Surgery” in the Sun Herald’s 2023 Best of Coastal Mississippi Awards.
