Ann M. Carone, OD​

Dr. Ann M. Carone O.D. joined Shoreline Eye Associates in 2013. Dr. Carone together with her technician Roberta, Lisa Torres L.O., and receptionist Paula, manages the Foxon Rd. East Haven location on a full time basis. Ann brings with her years of education, knowledge and experience. After 9 years of studies at the University of Hartford and New England College of Optometry, did much of her clinical intern work for Veterans Affairs Hospital and Newport Naval Hospital. Ann worked with active duty military, retired military, and their families sharpening her skills in the areas of ocular disease and therapeutics.

Dr. Carone soon joined a renowned eyecare group in Fairfield County. There she worked closely with the ophthalmologists on preoperative and postoperative care of state of the art surgical procedures. Working with this group for 11 years, she has become an accomplished clinician licensed to prescribe prescription drugs and diagnose and treat ocular conditions, such as Glaucoma. Today at Shoreline Eye Associates, Dr. Carone sees patients for routine care and contact lens fittings. She monitors and treats eye health and see patients for emergencies. She has built a large following of patients in the East Haven location which has grown into a full service eyecare facility. Dr. Ann Carone O.D. and Dr. Howard Distelman M.D. work closely together to provide our patients the specialized care they need and deserve. The Guilford office is fortunate to have her at that location 3-4 times a month for patients who would like to be seen a little closer to their home.
