Dr. Ankita Sagar, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.P., is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is fellowship-trained in Physician Administration from the Northwell Health-Center for Learning and Innovation. She earned her medical degree from New York Medical College and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Hofstra-Northwell Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Ankita Sagar, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.P., is a distinguished primary care internist and academic physician leader with expertise in quality, clinical program building, healthcare management, and delivery.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education - CUNY Medical School. She then completed her medical degree and graduate degree at New York Medical College. Dr. Sagar completed her Internal Medicine residency at Hofstra-Northwell Internal Medicine Residency Program. To further her expertise in healthcare management, she completed a fellowship in Physician Administration at the Northwell Health-Center for Learning and Innovation.
Dr. Sagar is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She serves as the System Vice President for Clinical Standards and Variation Reduction at CommonSpirit Health. Her clinical interests include standardization of clinical quality, ambulatory antimicrobial stewardship, post-COVID sequelae, and continuum of care for cancer survivors.
In recognition of her contributions, Dr. Sagar was awarded the 2020 Laureate Award from the American College of Physicians for leading programs in physician well-being, public policy advocacy, and medical education. In 2021, she was the recipient of the INSPIRE Award by the American Medical Women’s Association, which honors women physicians who demonstrate vision, integrity, collaboration, and service. She also serves as a Council Member of the Council of Early Career Physicians for the ACP and as the AMA Youth Physician Representative.
