Dr. Blum is fantastic. We could not have chosen a better pediatrician for our little guy. He was not feeling well and started running a high fever. I had been messaging her all day and she was quick to respond. She was very thorough and informative on what to do to help our little guy get better.

Very dismissive of concerns. Expressed concerns of my son not breathing well to which she replied “yes he is” without further assessing. Thankfully priority care was able to catch strep A that my 17 month old had. Would not recommend her to anyone.

I felt like we were a nuisance to her. She made little to no effort to speak or connect to my child, or truly hear my concerns. I was brushed off and given no time to explain why I had my concerns in the first place. She spoke in a very condescending tone from start to finish. Overall just a very disheartening experience. Not at all what you would expect from a medical professional in pediatrics.

She misdiagnosed out infant and said that he had arthritis in his knees as well as rhumatic fever when he had just had a vaccine at their clinic and had a vaccine reaction not even 24 hours prior. She forced us to go to 2 ERs and then forced us to go to Riley Hospital saying they would send counselors to our home because this women believed our son had some odd disease even after he was cleared by another doctor at a different ER. The doctors at this hospital also misdiagnosed me when I had post partum preclamsia with heart failure and were going to leave me with dangerously High blood pressure overnight. I could have died. We had to leave in the kiddle of the night to go get help from a different hospital! Do not trust this ER, Hospital or anyone in this area as their doctors are not competent. This women had us running around until 6am with an infant that had a vaccine reaction at their MHP pediatric clinic and she didn't want to admit to it. Horrible hospital and doctors! Stay Away!

Dr. Angela Blum attained her bachelor of science in biology from Southeast Missouri State University prior to attending medical school at University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. Dr. Blum also works with the Docs in Case child abuse program in coordination with the IU/Riley Child protection team. Dr. Blum, along with her husband Jerry, has two daughters Allison and Claire, two dogs and one cat. She enjoys animals, sports and outdoor activities.
