Dr. Andrew T. Henderson is a native of Mobile and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Auburn University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of South Alabama before completing his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He recently completed his spine fellowship at the Spine Institute of Arizona in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he received in-depth exposure to a wide range of spinal disorders and treatment techniques, including minimally invasive, microsurgical, and motion preservation techniques. Dr. Henderson’s goal is to use the least invasive means to restore his patient’s function and relieve their pain.
Dr. Henderson is a board-eligible orthopaedic surgeon and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He sees patients in our Airport, Springhill, and Saraland offices.
In his spare time, Dr. Henderson enjoys golf, college football, fly-fishing, aviation, and spending time with family and friends.

Surgery is the only option if you are seeing this physician. Any other issues you have are dismissed if you don’t want to have back surgery. He was nice enough in the beginning but if you don’t express interest in getting major back surgery, he doesn’t seem to be interested in having you as his patient.

Dr. Henderson is a highly intelligent, caring doctor. He is patient during visits and considers all options for a patient to consider. I fully recovered and have full function for neck surgery some years ago, and returned to him for another issue. He has provided excellent help attention and a remedy once again.

Very nice individual! I don't agree with diagnosis. All the other doctors in the past were on one page and he another. I felt more that I was going to be time consuming to him.

Explain everything I needed to know about my pain and surgery. I asked for a second opinion because I didn’t want surgery and he was my second opinion doctor and now I have decided that I will have my surgery with Dr. Henderson for this pain that has taken my life away from me.
