Dr. Andrew T. Henderson is a native of Mobile and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Auburn University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of South Alabama before completing his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He recently completed his spine fellowship at the Spine Institute of Arizona in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he received in-depth exposure to a wide range of spinal disorders and treatment techniques, including minimally invasive, microsurgical, and motion preservation techniques. Dr. Henderson’s goal is to use the least invasive means to restore his patient’s function and relieve their pain.
Dr. Henderson is a board-eligible orthopaedic surgeon and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He sees patients in our Airport, Springhill, and Saraland offices.
In his spare time, Dr. Henderson enjoys golf, college football, fly-fishing, aviation, and spending time with family and friends.

He is a too notch doctor and he cares about his patients. I’m picky and he’s the first doctor in my many years that has actually listened to me and explained the diagnosis and how to correct it. My surgery was a success thanks to him.
Clear concise Informative
Very good bedside manner. Answered all my questions with compassion. Never showed impatience and was reassuring that we can find out what is going on and come up with a good plan to treat the problem, and get me feeling better.

Dr. Henderson always listens to my concerns and gives me the answers to the questions that I have. He takes the time that I need to be confident when I walk out of his office, whether it be 5 minutes or 15.
