After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Wake Forest University, Dr. Ritting attended the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where he was awarded Alpha Omega Alpha status. He completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed an orthopedic hand and upper extremity fellowship at the University of California-Irvine. Throughout his career, Dr. Ritting has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and given numerous lectures and orthopedic presentations.
Growing up in Bucks County, Dr. Ritting was a student-athlete at Central Bucks East High School. After sustaining a serious knee injury while playing soccer, his interest in orthopedics began to crystallize. He soon began volunteering at Doylestown Hospital, which laid the groundwork for his future career and eventual return home to join Bucks County Orthopedic Specialists. He is thrilled to be providing innovative, compassionate medical care to his hometown community.
As a surgeon, Dr Ritting is drawn to the complex anatomy and meticulous technique required to perform upper extremity and hand surgery. As a physician, he takes an integrated approach to care that includes preventative medicine, early diagnostics, conservative management, patient education, proactive rehabilitation, and early return to activity. Incorporating the most cutting-edge technology and techniques, Dr. Ritting strives for maximum results from minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Ritting leads an active lifestyle, running, golfing, fly fishing, and hiking in the warmer months, and skiing and snowboarding in the winter. He also enjoys time with his two young children and looks forward to raising them among family and friends in Bucks County.
Always on time and yet still manages to not rush you through your appointment. Very professional. Takes his time to explain your options. I was not fond of getting the cortisone shots, but honestly, shot themselves were yuck and painless. I highly recommend Dr. Ritting.
