Great communicator and listener.
I developed sciatica about a year ago going down my left leg. Was difficult to stand, walk or lay for any length of time without discomfort. I tried doing injections with minimal relief. Went to Dr. Metzger and he recommended doing a laminotomy at L3-L4 due to stenosis. Surgery was quick with very little pain afterwards. Next day sciatica was gone with only pain from incision. 4 weeks later I have no sciatic pain and minor pain left from the surgery. In hindsight, if I would’ve known that surgery would’ve been as easy as it was and the outcome as good as it is, I would’ve had it done much sooner. I highly recommend a visit to Dr Metzger to see what your options are!

Saw Dr.Metzger at Barrows today was wonderful he alleviated my fear. He talk to me and explained everything that was going on with me. Made me feel so much better and took my anxiety away on what is going on with my spine. I can’t say enough good things about Barrows. I will definitely be returning to have them take care of my spine issues.
Fully explained why he didn't believe that the MRI and X-ray images explained my neuropathy symptoms. Also provided a clear explanation re the general status of my spine.
