Dr. Andrew Lanzone is a board-certified primary care physician specializing in sports medicine. He is trained in the diagnosis and management of concussion.
After majoring in Biology at Lafayette College, Dr. Lanzone attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed an internship at Nassau University Medical Center, followed by a residency in Family Practice at Christ Hospital in Jersey City. Dr. Lanzone completed his fellowship and received his Certification in Primary Care Sports Medicine through Northwell-Plainview Hospital where he also served as the assistant team physician with Long Island University- Post football, men's basketball, wrestling, and men's lacrosse teams. Following his fellowship, Dr. Lanzone served as the team physician for the NYIT department of athletics, while teaching first and second-year medical students at NYIT’s College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Lanzone is Board-Certified in both Family Practice and Sports Medicine. He has expertise in the diagnosis and non-operative treatment of all sports injuries and musculoskeletal complaints, including the use of injection therapy and platelet-rich-plasma. He is also trained in the diagnosis and management of concussion and is a credentialed consultant with the ImPACT concussion assessment application.
In his spare time, as a native Long Islander, Dr. Lanzone enjoys fishing, boating and spending time at the beach with his wife, dog, and newborn son.
