Dr. Andrew Hurst is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Born and raised in Nacogdoches, Texas, Dr. Hurst is proud to serve the community he loves. After graduating from Nacogdoches High School, he attended Baylor University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Following Baylor, he completed medical school at the University of Texas in Galveston, where he met his wife, Kristen. He then finished a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at The Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center. After spending a few years working out of the state, Dr. Hurst and his wife decided to come back to East Texas, where he began his orthopedic practice. In 2021, he began a partnership with Azalea Orthopedics. Additionally in 2021, he was recognized by Texas Monthly magazine as a Rising Star. Dr. Hurst is proud to offer the latest techniques and medical advancements for his patients. Specializing in complex knee and shoulder injuries, Dr. Hurst is experienced in treating both athletes and non-athletes alike. “In many cases, conservative treatment is the best option. I pride myself on providing my patients with as many options and as much information as possible. Then together, we can design the best plan for an optimal recovery.”

I feel so blessed to have found Dr. Hurst ! He and his medicine has worked wonders to relieve the pain and increase the comfort level of my worn knee. He is such a pleasure to talk with. He has a great bed side manner and is genuinely interested in my needs and well being. I HIGHLY recommend him for your treatment!

Dr. Hurst did an excellent surgery on my left knee. I was amazed on how fast the recovery process went. I highly recommend Dr. Hurst for a complete surgery and recovery .

Dr Hurst has always been very attentive my problem for being in his office and has went above and beyond to try and help in all medical issues, and his nursing staff is very professional and helpful
