He didn't listen to me--or more accurately, he ignored what I told him and went on to prescribe a medicine that makes me sick, scheduled a procedure I don't need that has nothing to do with my pain, and then prescribed a compound topical medication that i am allergic to. He couldn't even be bothered to read my chart before I came in, or request the MRI results--the whole reason for my visit. Instead, he insisted that I'd never qualify for the procedure that I've spent the last three months getting tests for and suggested I LOSE WEIGHT to help my CHEMO-INDUCED NERVE PAIN. I called my insurance after the appointment, and they said that I was a good candidate. So, either he's dismissing my debilitating chronic pain that the procedure would help alleviate, or he's too lazy to advocate for me. The only reason I'm giving him two stars instead of one is that this is so typical of every male doctor I've encountered in my lifetime, that I'm not even surprised by the incompetence anymore.

There’s definitely no coddling about his approach or an over expression of “bed-side manner,” but he still shows he cares about his patients by checking in and asking how they are and how they’re doing during procedures. He’s efficient and effective and I appreciate that. He seems very skilled, is certainly very experienced, and I like that he has a healthy appreciation for technology and isn’t afraid to leverage it. I would recommend him as a provider.

The doctor pays more attention toward inputting info into his laptop than actually interacting (Q&As/eye-to-eye contact) with the patient. The laptop is running the appointment, not his patient. I believe the notes should be handled after the appointment, and that this is occurring so he can quickly get to his next patient. I can appreciate not usually having to wait for my appointment, but, he progresses through the appointment way too rapidly. Often, I leave and have questions unanswered or not fully understood. He has a tendency to interrupt while I'm trying to ask a question or get clarity. My appoinments always feel incomplete.

Dr Hsu is an excellent doctor! I have been working with him for just about two years now for chronic pain in my back from mini surgeries. He is so patient and kind and has tried everything for me to help. He is now implanted a device to try and deal with the pain so I don’t have to have opioid pain medication’s. Very cordial. Appointment was right on time. Very little waiting on my part. In and out in only 20 minutes. Gave me direct phone number to call if I needed further help. Advised that if this procedure didn’t provide relief that other steps can be taken.

I came in for my 9:30 appointment, which was actually scheduled for 8:30. He fit me in and took care of me as quickly as he could so it’s not to impact the next patient.

He talks very fast; using acronyms and medical terms without explaining either without being questioned on it
