I appreciate Dr Swentik’s approach to talking with patients, sharing info and answering questions. My surgery went well and the recovery is coming along. I will say that having never had this kind of medical situation before, I was totally unprepared for how long and difficult the healing and recovery would take. Not sure how he could better help patients like me have realistic expectations and a positive mindset of endurance, but perhaps something to consider. I am sticking to my PT, still hoping for better range of motion but beginning to wonder if I need to adjust my expectations.

Very personable. Explained injury and potential surgery in easy to understand language, including expected outcome of surgery, expected associated pain, rehab, length of recovery. He also explained the same thing for if I choose not to have surgery. Unhurried. He did not stand up to leave until he was sure I had no more questions.

He seemed very confident. Explain everything and answered all our questions well.
