“I value compassion, communication, and partnership as guiding principles in providing patient-centered care. A patient’s experience is shaped by his or her unique environment and situation. As physicians, we must treat the person, not just the disease.”
After attending Cornell University and earning a B.S. in Neuroscience, she attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University where she pursued a research year at the Wilmer Eye Institute studying patient safety and fall risk among individuals with glaucoma. She completed her internship at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West in New York City before heading to the west coast for residency training at the Stein Eye Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed her glaucoma fellowship at the University of California, San Diego under the tutelage of Dr. Robert Weinreb.
