One-on-one quality time with Dr. White is a look-forward-to event for me! It's a shame she can't be or isn't multiple specialty Board Certified because then she'd be for me, a one-stop for all my medical needs. Of course, no doctor is

Dr White is knowledgeable, intelligent, up to date on the latest medical info, compassionate and caring. She is never in a hurry during my visits and is comprehensive and holistic in her approach to my medical issues. Grateful she is my doctor. When I hear friends talk about their hurried, brief appts with their PCP, I am reminded how blessed I am to have Andrea White as my PCP!

Dr. Andrea R. White is a native of Virginia. She attended the University of Virginia, where she was an Echols Scholar and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Following college, she moved to Spain where she lived for nearly eight years and graduated from medical school at the Universidad de Oviedo Facultad de Medicine.
She returned to the United States in 2001 and did an Internal Medicine residency through the University of Virginia/Roanoke-Salem program. She subsequently completed a two-year Geriatrics and Palliative Care fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by a post-doctoral research year. She transitioned into private practice doing sub-acute rehabilitation medicine and hospice medical director work, followed by hospital work and outpatient practice through SeniorCare Geriatrics. She joined Internal Medicine Specialists in January of 2014 and has enjoyed returning to general internal medicine where she takes care of all age groups.
Dr. White is married, has two children and two dogs. She loves animals, enjoys the mountains and the ocean, and likes to garden and cook. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
