Dr. Badri earned his Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology (Physiology emphasis) with a minor in Music (jazz performance) at the University of California, Berkeley. After earning his medical degree across the country at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in New York, he went on to complete his General Surgery internship and Urology residency training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Anand Badri, MD was born in Houston, but grew up on the west coast in the San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Badri earned his Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology (Physiology emphasis) with a minor in Music (jazz performance) at the University of California, Berkeley. After earning his medical degree across the country at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in New York, he went on to complete his General Surgery internship and Urology residency training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Dr. Badri completed highly specialized and advanced surgical training at Temple University, a high-volume level 1 trauma center and a national center of excellence in advanced robotic surgery. In addition, Dr. Badri also served as chief resident in Urologic Oncology at the prestigious National Cancer Institute-designated Fox Chase Cancer Center where he performed high level, minimally-invasive cancer operations and refined his surgical skills. In his training, Dr. Badri has performed over 250 robotic and minimally-invasive procedures. Dr. Badri has also published articles and has presented at national urologic meetings.
After completing his residency training, Dr. Badri brought his expertise to the Atlanta area where he provided general and robotic urological care to the community. In his two years in the Atlanta region, Dr. Badri performed hundreds of general urologic cases and nearly 100 minimally-invasive, robotic procedures.
Dr. Badri returns to the Philadelphia area where he and his wife are excited to be closer to family. Aside from Urology, Dr. Badri and his wife are avid travelers and enjoy exploring the world. In addition, he loves experiencing different cuisine and cultures and is a passionate 49ers fan!
Dr. Badri will see patients in the Abington and Mason’s Mill office locations. He is thrilled to be a part of the MidLantic Urology team and to provide high-quality urologic care to his patients.

I was with Dr. Badri for a brief visit, he is cordial, direct, and respectful. Needs to bit more engaging, I understand he is pressed to be efficient, no time to engage in conversation
Very thorough, answered all my questions, and told it like it is, which is what I needed to hear.
Dr. Badri has really helped to resolve my issue. He recommended and performed a procedure on me that was very successful. He urged patience afterwards as it took a few months to realize the success.

It was my 6 month post surgery. No evidence of kidney cancer and feel very blessed to have found Dr Badri. I had no pain, bounced back quickly and feel he gave me the confidence to go forward; he answered all of my questions and I had a lot and the staff was great. You don’t often find doctors who give you the time necessary to rid your concerns and he didn’t rush me. I feel his surgical training and the robotic experiences sold me. He’s personable and again very happy to have been recommended by his colleague.
