Dr Ballester was attentive and compassionate throughout the entire visit. She took the time to listen to all of my concerns without making me feel rushed. Her thoroughness in evaluating my symptoms and explaining the treatment plan was exceptional. I appreciated how she communicated in a clear and understandable manner, ensuring I felt comfortable with my medical treatment.

Dr. Ana Ballester-Fiallo, a native of Puerto Rico, moved to San Antonio in 1987. She earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and went on to continue her residency at the University District Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Ballester served in the Armed Forces (Army) during Desert Storm 1989-1993. Dr. Ballester-Fiallo completed a Fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Puerto Rico and University District Hospital. She also received a Fellowship in Clinical Immunology from the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio.
Dr. Ballester-Fiallo is Board Certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. She was also an Instructor of Medicine at the University of Puerto Rico and UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. She joined Gonzaba Medical Group as a Rheumatology Specialist in 2014.
Dr. Ballester-Fiallo is fluent in English and Spanish.
