I went in worried about getting an epidural steroid procedure. Dr Orr was very reassuring and told me everything she was doing. Today I am pain free and no numbness in my hands. I should have done this sooner. Thank you Doctor Orr

My PC referred me to EmergOrtho for pain management and SCS management but I was told that I was only referred for SCS management and not pain management. I called the lady who does the referrals at my PC and she said that the front page clearly states “ for pain management for chronic lower back pain “ so I am confused as to why I wasn’t seen for it.

Amberly R. Orr, M.D., provides advanced pain management procedures for patients suffering from acute and chronic conditions. Her expertise includes ultrasound and fluoroscopic-guided injections, radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation and Intracept.
Dr. Orr earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, her Master of Science in Molecular Biology from Johns Hopkins University, and her Doctor of Medicine from McGovern Medical School at UT Health in Houston. Upon graduation, she did a transitional year internship at Dell Medical School at UT Austin, and both her anesthesiology residency and pain management fellowship at University of Chicago Medical Center.
Dr. Orr joined the interventional pain management team at EmergeOrtho – Coastal Region in December of 2025. Prior to that, she was part of the medical staff at Carolinas Pain Center in Charlotte and served as Chief Fellow at the University of Chicago Medical Center during her training.
She has significant experience in teaching and leadership positions, as well as having contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, abstracts and professional presentations.
