Dr. Amanda Moran, D.O., is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician specializing in pain management. After training in biochemistry and molecular biology, she obtained her medical degree from Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completion of this medical training, she served as a surgical resident physician at Virginia Commonwealth University hospital in Richmond, Virginia for 1 year.

She then transitioned to Eastern Virginia Medical School for physical medicine and rehabilitation training, where she served as chief resident.
Since 2021, Dr. Moran has practiced at Center for Complex Pain Care founded by Dr. Robert Hansen, and assumed ownership in June 2024. While at Center for Complex Pain Care, she has become an expert in numerous chronic pain issues and offering numerous treatment modalities. Dr. Moran has brought her experience with musculoskeletal and rehabilitation medicine to the practice to offer services for complex pain disorders. She is an expert in auricular acupuncture, comprehensive medication management, Botox for spasticity, nerve blocks, joint injections, and migraine management. She understands how pain disorders can influence overall mental wellbeing and physical function and is passionate about empowering and educating patients in their recovery with pain. In addition, she realizes that understanding a patient’s story, life circumstances, and functional ability is critical to getting to know each person and is paramount to creating an effective treatment plan.
In addition to her leadership and clinical role at Center for Complex Pain Care, Dr. Moran serves as an inpatient rehabilitation physician across the state (including current affiliation with Sentara Virginia Beach Hospital) and has served in numerous post-acute rehabilitation facilities in the community as a supervising physician.
