Dr Sovari’s expertise includes cardiac device implantation, catheter ablation of arrhythmias, left atrial appendage closure, ASD/PFO closure, and complex device removal and replacement.
Dr Sovari’s training spans over 12 years beyond medical school, with a dedicated focus on cardiovascular diseases and cardiac electrophysiology. He completed a two-year Advanced Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Additionally, he participated in an NIH/AHA-supported physician-scientist fellowship in cardiovascular diseases with research training in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He also undertook a post-doctoral research fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr Sovari built his foundation in clinical medicine during his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, following his medical education at the National University of Iran in Tehran.
