Couldn’t have asked for a better first visit with Dr. Pickering (Parden). She is very thorough and knowledgeable, discerning all aspects of the patients symptoms, listens to the patient and very informative. I am very pleased I chose her for the medical care I am seeking with the issues I am having. I am confident she will continue to provide the individualized care and treatment I need. Dr. Parden is board-certified in both Obstetrics-Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive surgery (FPMRS). FPMRS is an additional 3 years of specialty training in the evaluation, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of problems involving the female pelvic organs
Her focus of practice is in the field of urogynecology and pelvic floor reconstruction surgery. She offers specialty surgical and non-surgical treatment for women with pelvic floor issues including urinary incontinence or leakage, fecal incontinence, urinary tract infections, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, trouble emptying the bladder or rectum, pelvic and bladder pain and fistulas.
A native of Lebanon, Ind., Dr. Parden earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She completed medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, where she also completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology. She recently completed a three-year fellowship (additional specialty surgical training) in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. She has been practicing in Tupelo, MS for the past two years.
