Ali Khan, MD is a structural interventional cardiologist who joined Capital Cardiology Associates in 2026.
Dr. Khan’s clinical practice focuses on structural heart disease and complex coronary interventions, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), MitraClip and TMVR for mitral valve disease, Evoque tricuspid valve replacement, TriClip, Watchman FLX for stroke prevention, high risk percutaneous coronary intervention with Impella (mechanical circulatory) support, VA /VV ECMO, and PFO/ASD closure.
He completed his internal medicine residency at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University, where he served as Chief Resident . He then completed his cardiovascular disease and Interventional Cardiology fellowship at McLaren Health Care/Michigan State University, again serving as Chief Cardiology Fellow, followed by advanced subspecialty training in structural heart disease at New York University Hospital - Langone Health.
Dr. Khan believes that good cardiology extends beyond the cath lab. He is committed to meeting patients where they are, translating complex heart disease into clear, actionable guidance so patients and families can make informed decisions about their care together with him.
This commitment carries into his work in public health education. Dr. Khan runs an active social media presence where he shares clinical cardiology education with a broad public and physician audience, breaking down everything from preventive heart health to the latest advances in structural and interventional cardiology. He is also active in medical education, nationally, running clinical cardiology and physician mentorship platforms that reach a broad audience of trainees and colleagues.
