Great visit! I received a great deal of good information plus positive feedback. I especially liked the fist bump, despite knowing that doctors and staff use hand sanitizer!!

Campbell, KY with the 101st Airborne Division, 5th Special Forces Group, and 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. While at Ft. Campbell, he was deployed and served overseas. He was later sent by the Army to develop subspecialty expertise in spinal disorders at the University of Minnesota and the Twin Cities Scoliosis Spine Center in Minneapolis, where he completed the prestigious John H. Moe Fellowship. Following this, he served as assistant chief of orthopedics, orthopedic residency training director, and chief of spine surgery at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia (Augusta). Fellows are board certified surgeons whose education, training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct are reviewed and found to be consistent with the high standards of the ACS.
While in Hickory, Dr. Geissele developed a volunteer scoliosis screening program in conjunction with Frye Regional Medical Center, serving the greater Hickory area and Catawba county schools. In addition, he has participated in local volunteer efforts with the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and Cooperative Christian Ministries Clinic. He also served in the Pet Partners program at Frye Regional Medical Center.

He is an avid motorcycle enthusiast. When not practicing medicine, you will likely find him on his Harley Davidson.
