Dr. Alexis Calloway, M.D., is a gastroenterologist with a passion for her specialty and a commitment to patient care. Her interests within Gastroenterology include colon cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and infectious GI diseases.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana. She then received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA.
Dr. Calloway completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC, where she also served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. She further specialized her training with a fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
