Cannot say enough about Dr Lampley. I feel very comfortable with him caring for my hand. I actually feels like he listens to me, explains everything perfectly, and gives you options to come to an agreement about the best possible care.

Outstanding appointment. He was prompt and thorough, especially for the first appointment. Best of all, he didn’t make any preliminary guesses without taking and examining a full set of x-rays. The front desk was very prompt and professional, Likewise, the doctor is friendly, professional, and was very attentive to everything I had to say. As a fully disabled veteran, I’ve had to see numerous doctors over the years. Many of those doctors weren’t so great, as they had no interest in anything I had to say, then tried to downplay my concerns and conditions without bothering to even look at any type of X-ray, CR Scan, or MRI. A major indicator as good doctors is listening to what their patients have to say, as well as thoroughly examining the film’s of the affected areas instead of making guesses then trying to make the outcome be inline with their original guess. I’ve had this happen on multiple occasions, and those guesses were completely wrong. That wasn’t the case here.

Dr. Alexander Lampley graduated with honors from Bucknell University and Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. After studying Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center he completed his fellowship in hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery at the esteemed Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center. Dr. Lampley specializes in the treatment of all disorders of the upper extremity including shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand pathology in both adults and children. He is trained in arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgical approaches such as endoscopic carpal tunnels, and microvascular surgery. Dr. Lampley has particular interests in peripheral nerve surgery, sports-related injuries, arthritis surgery, shoulder and elbow surgery, trauma surgery, and upper extremity reconstruction utilizing nerve transfers and tendon transfers. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Piedmont Orthopaedic Society.
