Dr. Alex Iwamoto is very excited to join Children’s Medical Group after completing his pediatrics residency at Emory. Dr. Iwamoto moved to the area in 2019 with his wife (herself a Decatur native) and now lives in East Lake. Outside of medicine he enjoys running, climbing, and spending time outdoors with his dog, Bodie.

Have only enjoyed visiting this Dr. He's reassuring and I don't feel like he's rushing to move on the the next patient. He truly seems to understand these Littles.
I'll keep going to his for as long as our family lives in ATL

This was our first time meeting with Dr. Iwamoto and it went really well! We went in for a sick visit and he explained everything really well and included us in the planning of how we should move forward. He called the same day with test results and took the time to explain the results well and recommended next steps.

I like the way he speaks to my son and explains things at a level that he can understand for a 12-year-old. I also like the fact that he actually talks to his patients and not site line them by speaking directly to the parents, but is that he account their opinions and comments. I think Dr. Iwamoto it’s a very professional doctor and has the ability to communicate with his patients

Dr. Iwamoto has an amazing bedside manner. This was our first time seeing him and he really put my teenage son at ease and explained everything he was going to do in detail. I really enjoyed his demeanor and his candor in discussing topics. Teenagers don’t normally want to talk about.
