Dr. Alexander Emerson, M.D., is a native of Ft. Wright, Kentucky, and a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky. He earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville before completing a rigorous combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Indiana University in Indianapolis. During his residency, he pursued the Clinician Educator Training Pathway, where he gained specialized skills in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents in the clinical environment.
Dr. Emerson went on to complete a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His passion for the field is deeply personal; having grown up with allergies and asthma himself, he brings a unique empathy and understanding to the care of his patients. His clinical interests include asthma and food allergies, though he is enthusiastic about managing all allergic and immunologic conditions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Emerson is an avid supporter of Cincinnati sports, especially the Bengals and Reds. He enjoys spending his free time baking, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, going on walks with his wife, son, and two dogs, and relaxing with a good book, board games, or video games.

Dr. Emerson is such a nice and caring doctor. I am new to the practice. Everyone is so nice. He has switched my medicine with something that will help me better. He is very kind.
He was very respectful and so kind to my mother and I. He is the first doctor who acknowledged my mom had a language barrier but still made her feel seen and heard. He was thorough in my mother's chart and all her needs as a patient. I was very grateful my mother was seen by Dr. Emerson and will be his patient.
First meeting with doctor Emerson was very good and look forward to seeing him during the year. Very personable and comfortable to work with.
