Dr. Alexander Emerson, M.D., is a native of Ft. Wright, Kentucky, and a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky. He earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville before completing a rigorous combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Indiana University in Indianapolis. During his residency, he pursued the Clinician Educator Training Pathway, where he gained specialized skills in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents in the clinical environment.
Dr. Emerson went on to complete a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His passion for the field is deeply personal; having grown up with allergies and asthma himself, he brings a unique empathy and understanding to the care of his patients. His clinical interests include asthma and food allergies, though he is enthusiastic about managing all allergic and immunologic conditions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Emerson is an avid supporter of Cincinnati sports, especially the Bengals and Reds. He enjoys spending his free time baking, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, going on walks with his wife, son, and two dogs, and relaxing with a good book, board games, or video games.

Great personality. Easy to talk to
I’m an MD myself… Very nice visit! Dr. Emerson was very helpful… I was able to start Fasenra that visit, which was a very nice surprise!
Doctor Emerson is sweet, he really listens to his me. He cares about us. He's treating my skin rash that he could've said no go to a dermatologist
Dr Emerson is great. He has a wonderful manner in dealing with patients.
He me feel at ease and I felt comfortable talking with him.
I enjoyed meeting Dr Emerson in person, he was very interested in what was going on with my allergies and gave me ideas to treat my symptoms and guidelines for my injections weekly.

Dr. Emerson is great. I enjoyed the visit.
Very straight forward and complete information relating to my questions and needs.
His nurse practitioner was abrupt and dismissive and indifferent and asked me what I wanted them to do, that insulted me--(I was there to get help, just like everyone else.) Dr. Emerson didn't really reassure me that my allergies were gonna go away, so I feel like I'm in limbo. But he was nice and friendly.
