Dr. Alexander Emerson, M.D., earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville before completing a rigorous combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Indiana University in Indianapolis. During his residency, he pursued the Clinician Educator Training Pathway, where he gained specialized skills in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents in the clinical environment. Dr. Emerson went on to complete a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

During his residency, he pursued the Clinician Educator Training Pathway, where he gained specialized skills in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents in the clinical environment.
Dr. Emerson went on to complete a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His passion for the field is deeply personal; having grown up with allergies and asthma himself, he brings a unique empathy and understanding to the care of his patients. His clinical interests include asthma and food allergies, though he is enthusiastic about managing all allergic and immunologic conditions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Emerson is an avid supporter of Cincinnati sports, especially the Bengals and Reds. He enjoys spending his free time baking, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, going on walks with his wife, son, and two dogs, and relaxing with a good book, board games, or video games.
