Dr. Alex Sheltzer, D.P.M., is a fellowship trained, board-certified podiatrist and surgeon. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, earned the APMA Educational Foundation Scholarship, the TUSPM Alumni Scholarship, the TUSPM Academic Merit Scholarship, and was a member of the Pi Delta National Podiatric Medical Honor Society and the Stirling-Harford-DiPrimio Honorary Anatomical Society. He then completed his surgical residency at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

Dr. Alex Sheltzer, D.P.M., is a fellowship trained, board-certified podiatrist and surgeon who specializes in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of foot and ankle issues, including trauma, complex foot and ankle reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy, sports injuries, bunion care and correction, and ankle joint replacement.
A student-athlete at Tufts University, Dr. Sheltzer was a member of the track and cross country teams and earned a B.S. in Biology. He then went on to Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, earned the APMA Educational Foundation Scholarship, the TUSPM Alumni Scholarship, the TUSPM Academic Merit Scholarship, and was a member of the Pi Delta National Podiatric Medical Honor Society and the Stirling-Harford-DiPrimio Honorary Anatomical Society. He then completed his surgical residency at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident and provided coverage spanning three hospitals, five surgical clinics, and one wound care center across the Philadelphia region. Dr. Sheltzer then advanced his surgical training and completed the Pennsylvania Intensive Lower Extremity Fellowship through the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Sheltzer was inspired by his background in running and his mother, an infectious disease physician who practiced in Philadelphia. “Utilizing evidence-based medicine to address joint pain and mobility challenges is a priority that I deeply value.” Dr. Sheltzer continuously advances his expertise by staying at the forefront of medical innovations. As a dedicated researcher, he has led multiple research initiatives, published findings in esteemed medical journals, and contributed insights to various publications.
While new to Bucks County, Dr. Sheltzer hails from Delaware County, just outside of Philadelphia, and is thrilled by his experiences in the area so far. He enjoys spending time with his wife, a local gastroenterologist, and their daughters, as well as pursuing his passions for tennis, running, and cheering on Philadelphia sports teams.
