Dr. Bodenstab replaced hip two weeks ago today. He is a master. Did a fantastic job. Had virtually no pain at all. Was out walking in the neighborhood the next day. By day six I was walking two miles a day. My hip and left leg hasn’t felt this good in over ten years. Not only is he a great surgeon, he is a kind and understanding man. Very easy to relate to. He keeps the conversation simple and in layman’s terms……not medical terms. If you need help, call him. You will not be disappointed.

Alex is an excellent teaching Doctor!! He made it easy for me to understand my medical problem. Then what he thinks is the best way to take care of it. He wasn't arrogant and said he wants to see me again in 2 months to make sure his diagnosis is right.

Dr. Bodenstab has been my orthopedist for over 10 years. He is the best. Looking back, I felt I was talking with a friend from my very first visit. His ethics are unquestionable. He's thorough clear and concise seeking relief of my joint pain. After all avenues have been exhausted (physical therapy, injections, etc.) thru many office visits and surgery is evident, I would have no other orthopedic surgeon to take me on this journey. He comes to see me prior to surgery in the staging area making sure I am comfortable. Also in the surgery suite, let's me know he is there before I go to sleep. After surgery and I am awake he visits letting me know how things went. Excellent bedside manor is as a friend. Post-op care is as I have described above from the beginnings of my care. Having stated the above, I put Dr. Bodenstab at the top of my list.

Honest, personable, and concern about me as a person

I have seen Dr Bodenstab for a long time I think since 1985. He has worked with my sons 1)for knees in football 2) 2nd son had every possible color casts that they make. He even did a red/white one for his homecoming weekend so that it would match his tux for the dance. He did carpel tunnels on my husband. My husband ask him to do both at the same time to save time on until Dr B told him all the things you can’t do w/2 being done at same time. I have 4 replacements knees & hips & I’m just now having a issue w/my (R) 1992 27yrs absolutely no problems. Not to bad of a track record. Lol. So I have to say he knows & has worked on all the Deisem gang. We are all very grateful to this man. There’s other stories I could tell about my second son with his casts. But that would be a book. So yes thank you Dr Bodenstab many times over!!!
