Dr. Alan Tuckman comes to Lancaster from New York. He received his M.D. degree from the SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse, where he also completed his internship and residency. Dr. Tuckman completed his orthopedic surgery training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and received his foot and ankle fellowship training at The Emory Clinic in Atlanta.
Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, Dr. Tuckman is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Tuckman is a clinical instructor for the S.T.A.R. Total Ankle Replacement. He has been performing ankle replacements for 15 years and utilizing the S.T.A.R. Ankle in his practice since the summer of 2009 when this device was approved by the FDA for use in the USA after a lengthy clinical study.
Dr. Tuckman’s special interests are in disorders of the foot and ankle as well as total ankle replacement. He also has a special interest in dance injuries and has been an orthopedic consultant for the Atlanta Ballet and the Berks Ballet.

Dr Tuckman is the best. He has helped me with Achilles surgical repair on both of my ankles with good results. He kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable.

Very informative… Explained all that was happening and also the start of a plan of action and we will go from there. Great use of the Hanger Clinic personnel that was on the floor , especially since I was a user of a hanger clinic product.. It allowed Dr. Tuchman the ability to actually show what was wrong with my product and how it would need to be corrected to make it function properly for my problem he was addressing.. Really liked him on finding my issue and the ways and steps on how it should be done. +++++.
