Dr. Alan Tuckman comes to Lancaster from New York. He received his M.D. degree from the SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse, where he also completed his internship and residency. Dr. Tuckman completed his orthopedic surgery training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and received his foot and ankle fellowship training at The Emory Clinic in Atlanta.
Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, Dr. Tuckman is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Tuckman is a clinical instructor for the S.T.A.R. Total Ankle Replacement. He has been performing ankle replacements for 15 years and utilizing the S.T.A.R. Ankle in his practice since the summer of 2009 when this device was approved by the FDA for use in the USA after a lengthy clinical study.
Dr. Tuckman’s special interests are in disorders of the foot and ankle as well as total ankle replacement. He also has a special interest in dance injuries and has been an orthopedic consultant for the Atlanta Ballet and the Berks Ballet.

Dr. Tuckman is an amazing surgeon who successfully performed a complicated foot reconstruction that other doctor’s would not have and the positive result has made a huge difference in my life. He took his time to carefully consider and discuss surgical options as well empathetically and competently dealt with post-surgery issues. He has been my foot surgeon for over 20 years and I would not trust anyone else.

Awesome doctor! He has done three surgeries....excellent support through the entire process from explaining the procedure to helping understand the rehab process.
Always good. But the cost to have to pay every year is not good. I have to be checked every year. So when I'm on a fixed income this will be to much and I think follow up visits should be free. This is a life time issue. Thank you
