My dad complained to me that he doesn't want to see Dr Hein after he had left eye cataract a year ago. His right eye started bothering him and he contemplated about going back to see Dr Hein because of the language barriers and that Dr Hein shows alot of frustration when an interpret is not available. I told my dad I will go with him and help interpret. I'm sad to my dad was right about Dr Hein's rude behavior, his tone, body language shows he doesn't care. He doesn't let me finish interpreting before asking more questions. He made us feel rushed and belittle us when my dad was explaining his symptoms that's its a bit different from his first incident. Dr Hein goes "cataract does not cause floating black spots, do you even know what cataract is"? Of course we don't know, that's why we came to see him for medical advice. He didn't not need to use that tone nor belittle us. I hope he doesn't treat other patients the way he treated my dad. I'm speaking up for Healthcare equity & disparity

I appreciated Dr Heins clear explanations when he probably repeats the same things all the time.

The lady that did my exam never introduced herself, and as this was my first time here, I was under the impression she was the doc until the 4th hand off of the rotating staff said next was the Dr. She was monotoned, had a “I hate my job” attitude, and was not patient when comparing during the exam. No wonder why my Rx got messed up! I will not be going back to this location.

He used medical terms I didn't understand, by then I had checked out and didn't want to feel stupid by asking him to explain. I will be getting another assessment from different doctor.

I've now seen Dr. Hein twice. Both times he was an excellent listener. My problem was minor but he gave me his undivided attention & answered all my questions without making me feel rushed.

Made good small talk, which helps, but came in hot and fast, powered through things, and sent me on my way really without me knowing. He just said “follow me” and then “down the hall and take a left and they’ll take care of you” and when I followed said directions I was surprised when I ended up in the lobby. I had other things to ask him, but since we ended without me knowing things were ending, I never really got the chance. The objective of a new prescription, was achieved, but I’m not very satisfied with the whole endeavor.

Dr Hein was wonderful. I came in for an emergency and he got me help right away. I don’t usually see him, and thankful I was able to get in so someone can check my eye. He was never too quick to finish up my appointment and did not rush himself and me at all. He gave me a thorough explanation of my treatment and it helped the anxiety of the situation dial down. I love how he likes to take his time and how he listened to me and answered all my questions.

This was the first eye doctor I have seen in Minnesota and this was the most invalidating experience I have had with any doctor. I came in with concerns and no solutions were given to my itchy eyes or my vision issues. His response was “You don’t need glasses” after wearing them for 10 years.

Odd that all the work is done by assistants. Also my partner used them as well and they didn’t bother telling him the glasses on the other side of the room—that the coverage was different from the eye exams section so he was not able to get glasses there. Very annoying.

He told me one thing during the exam, but the prescription was for a different strength and it does not makes sense. Also I asked for non-progressive bifocals but the prescription said "progressive." Prescription did not include pupillary distance.

Felt rushed . Went for a eye problem just was told to continue using the Systane but to put in the refrigerator along with compress. Nothing has changed since Tuesday. He did give me a new prescription for glasses which he said was better than the 2 I had previously.

He did not look at me once. He left the door open 9 which was fine) but continually looked out the door eve why examining my eyes. When he was at the desk he did not look up or turn to look at me. He did not give me a prescription for new glasses even thou he said my vision had changed. I would not want to see him again.
