I felt like I did not get answers or explanations. I asked questions and I had the nurse write down questions I wanted to discuss with the Dr. I was so caught off guard by his passiveness, I didn’t even think to ask about the questions I had the nurse write down. He seemed to just push getting another procedure done for correction and that was it. Very unhappy.

I was having an eye problem, I explained to receptionist that I thought my problem was serious - they let me come next day -Dr Jay was great - I had a retina detachment, was referred to retina dr - had laser surgery that afternoon - good results.

He was very through with me.

Couldn't understand him that good. Prescription he wrote never made it to pharmacy. When I called the office to ask about the prescription got an answering machine and no one called me back.

Dr Jurangal makes sure that every question or concern that the patient may have is addressed and explained. He does not rush through the visit.

Felt like he was annoyed from the minute he walked in. Got a quick look at my problem and said I need laser to fix.

His medical recommendations were good. However, at the end of my last appointment he began asking about my personal life and started telling me about his dating life and a bad date he’d been on. He lingered in the room and the hallway and then was behind the front desk as I walked out. Coincidentally, I began receiving anonymous flowers to my house, beginning on my birthday. The sender refused to have his name released by 1800 flowers and there’s no one in my life who would have done that. I truly hope HIPAA wasn’t violated in this situation.

It would be better patient communication if things discussed not just handing the patient a piece of paper instead of answering a question.

Hurried, tried to insist there was nothing wrong when I had an obvious problem. After I insisted there was one, he slowed down enough to recheck and did agree there was an issue before finally correcting it.

Very considerate, caring and thorough

When I had my cataracts removed I was told that I had suspicious glaucoma and that I could not have lenses inserted in my eyes. Now since I’ve been examined by Dr Jurangal he informed me that I do not have glaucoma and that the problem I have with my eyes is from the lenses I have in my eyes which are dirty and he suggested that I have them cleaned. I am scheduled to have this procedure done. I am very satisfied with Dr Jurangal and would highly recommend him.

Did not tell me if potential complications of surgery. It ruined my life. I would have never had it done. And basically now “ it’s too soon” to remove the lenses. Even if I have them removed ( will) I will still probably have starbursts . So disappointed, depressed, frustrated. He googled information he SHOULD know.
