Took me 1 hr sitting in waiting room b4 I was called back. The staff are cold and do not smile. It give me the impression they must not like working there. Once in, the whole process with the doctor took 40 min. Total time in office 2 hrs. The doctor however was very nice and showed concern and wanted to help. Cold office.

Fast visit

I have only seen Dr Sunderland twice before my hip replacement surgery. Unfortunately I have never seen him since. I think it’s extremely important for the patient to be seen by the surgeon, not the PA, after surgery. I have heard the same complaint by other patients of Dr Sunderland while in physical therapy.

He took his time- he answered all of my questions- very friendly. I did not feel rushed like most providers. He actually listened to my concerns and gave me a detailed explanation for my treatment plan. Wonderful bedside manner. Most providers brush you off but he DOES NOT! He actually cares for you as a patient!

The office policy about treating one issue at a time and not on the same day resulted in 2 scheduled office visits that the staff was reluctant to combine until one visit. They only did so when my health advocates office. Then, when I arrived at my appointment, the staff was unwilling to give me a shot in both knees and my arm at the same visit - no more than 2 issues they said. So... one shot in one knee and one shot in my arm was my choice. I wanted to get both knees to be sure my knees were good for upcoming vacation but, I had to pick. Taking off for multiple appointments means I use more vacation time and more gas and more time... It also made me feel that my providers didn't care about my health but about something different. They knew in advance why I was coming. It was not an unplanned expansion of my visit. I never saw Dr. Sunderland. Rather, I saw several staff members. They were nice enough but more attune to their policy than my needs.

Did not see Dr Sunderland on my visit. I I had MRI done and was supposed to see Dr Sunderland to hopefully find out what was going on after being a patient for a year with the same problem. Dr. Sunderland was in surgery and sent someone else in to see me that still didn’t really know what was wrong with me. I felt like I was just getting the run around until I could make yet another appointment to see the doctor. This was my third appointment in a year with the same problem. If I had known Dr Sunderland was not going to be there I would have rescheduled.

Dr Sunderland is such an AWESOME doctor/surgeon!!! I am 62 and never had surgery before. He was very thorough, in explaining my hip surgery snd what to expect, what I needed to do to get ready for it and then when the time came, was very encouraging telling me he thought I was going to do well. I suffered from a bad arthritic hip for a couple of years and it was so excruciatingly painful just before surgery that it was a dread just to get out of a chair. After the surgery, the relief greeted me when I woke up. Family was amazed at the transformation even if my face. There wasn't anymore pain. Dr Sunderland is an amazing surgeon... I Highly recommend him to anyone needing hip replacement. I had a full replacement. Today I came for my 2nd post op check up. Everything looked great and Dr Sunderland made sure I had no discomfort or concerns. Great Doc!!!

Truthfully the doctor was great but after learning one of my prescriptions didn’t go through, I was not able to get anyone to help me because it was Friday afternoon. Therefore I get to go through the weekend without pain medication. Really disappointed with the office.

Dr. Sunderland was stuck in surgery, told to us by the PA, Drew. Pros: met a new staff member Con: no new information was passed or giving execpt to offer a refferal to another Doctor within agency to give another opionion. Fustration on my part is that this should of been done, months ago, or visits ago. I feel like , time has been wasted for the recover of my injury that will never heal right. The staff seem nice, Dr. Sunderland when we did see him, we always felt we was bothering him, when he came into the room. Never went outta his way to learn more detail unless we pressed.

Personable. It was easy to talk with him and he didn't just brush me off or make light of my pain. He gave me treatment options and let me make my decision based on my pain which he can't feel. He was very knowledgeable and explained the "middle age syndrome" very effectively! He gave me a cortisone shot in my bottom elbow explaining what he would be doing and what I should feel with each step - no surprises. I feel very confident with his advice and treatment.

Visit was rapid, unsure if I feel my coming made any real difference. I don't know any more than I did before I went and I do not feel any better either. Not sure if I have a plan for the future. But I was given a recommendation for Physical Therapy. I am not sure, if this was a productive visit or not. Overall the consult included xrays, consult and a treatment plan I am not so sure is any different than what I had been doing. Overall the direct consult felt rushed and hurried. Not sure how I feel about that, other than, I felt hurried. Nice office, It would have been nice not to feel rushed.
