Adam Richardson, D.O.

Dr. Adam Richardson was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He attended college at the University of North Florida as a Division I tennis player and later returned to the University of Alabama where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Accountancy. He received his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at Virginia Tech, graduating in the top 1% of his class.

He completed his internship at Columbus, Georgia’s Midtown Medical Center and his Dermatology residency at St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. During residency he served as head of the program’s cosmetic committee training in a wide variety of cosmetic therapies including fat lipolysis, micro-needling, botox, fillers, sclerotherapy, and lasers. As a senior he was the program’s Chief Resident.

After residency Dr. Richardson completed an accredited Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology fellowship at St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. There he performed numerous Mohs surgery cases and spent time training with plastic surgery to refine his reconstructive ability to the highest standard. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Richardson enjoys providing patients with excellent care in all areas of dermatology and specializes in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. He takes great pride in caring for the residents of Tuscaloosa and giving back to his hometown community.

Outside of dermatology, Dr. Richardson enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters. He is also active in a number of outdoor activities including running, mountain biking, tennis, and water sports.
