Our daughter broke her arm/wrist in a skating accident. Dr. Handwerger was so awesome. He really lifted her spirits and had her cracking up with jokes. The nurses and ortho casting tech, Scottie, were great too. We could not have asked for a better experience.

We’ve seen Handwerger for various injuries for our other children, and we had smooth, uneventful visits. This time, we were referred to him because of a concerning x-ray in my 3 year old. While it wasn’t good news, the doc was kind and thorough in his explanation of what we are up against. He gave our follow-up plan and steps to take in the meantime. For a tough diagnosis, it was a positive experience with one of the best in the field. We definitely appreciate Dr. Handwerger.

I took my daughter to see Dr Handwerger due to her hurting her finger while playing at school. with her being a new patient I was dreading all the paperwork and the long wait. I was pleasantly surprised that the check in process was super easy and we were in and out in an hour. That included check in, X-rays, and a splint. Dr Handwerger was so good with my daughter he joked and teased her and connected with her to make her feel super comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone!

He just has poor beside manner. When dealing with youth one cannot say whatever comes to mind however you feel about the situation. Telling a child they stink is absolutely uncalled for. Especially when they cannot help a foot injury that sweats.

Dr. Handwerger operated on my 12 year old’s knee. From our first visit to our post op visit, Dr. Handwerger has been wonderful. He explained the surgery in a way that my son understood. He also made jokes and had my son laughing. He’s the best!
