Dr. Adam J. Handwerger graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in biology and received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of South Alabama, following which, he completed his fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta, with Children’s Orthopaedics of Atlanta.

Dr Handwerger is the best! My daughter is usually too nervous to talk with adults but his amazing bedside manner had her chatting away! Thank you for the excellent care!
Dr Handwerger is always thorough, professional, and personable. He’s gentle with my little boy and understanding of his disabilities.
He was great! My 3yo daughter loved him also. Would highly recommend for anyone, especially for pediatrics.
