My dr seemed impatient and rushed. He was very nice, however, I did not feel that my visit with him was very thorough.

We did not get detailed information or instruction for rehab. Nothing on paper. As a result we had to call the office to get basic info on range of motion exercises that are allowed, when I can have the boot off and for how long. Dr buerk avoided giving me necessary info because "He didn't want to step on Dr Himmelwright's toes" but this left us without necessary info for the next 4 weeks. We got nothing on paper and ended up searching for guidelines from Drs around the country. Here are some recommendations I would recommend.
1) notify patients of upcoming appointments
2) patients need specific clear instructions written out and handed to the patient (we can't remember details!)
3) the Dr who sees the patient needs to have the ability and confidence to dispense full advice and instructions to the patient without worrying about "stepping on the toes" of the other Dr who isn't there. I felt like I was going to be in limbo for 4 more weeks. Dr H and His PA, Beth were both away

He’s a great Doctor and he has always been a caring doc. I’ve had various medical issues over the many years and the doctor has always put the patient first.
The only not so good thing that I’ve noticed at my last 2 visits in 2025, Newport office is that he gets so busy that he forgets to slow down a little. This last visit on Friday he got up to leave and didn’t address all my concerns. I reminded him and he sat back down and did so.
Again, I’ve been a patient of his for years and that won’t change. But having that one on one time during my visit is important and maybe he needs to just schedule his appointments a little bit apart and sit down and take a breath while he’s in the room with his patient.
