Dr. Abigail Jackson, O.D. is a comprehensive optometrist who specializes in routine and problem-focused eye examinations, contact lens fittings, pediatric eye care, urgent eye care and pre- and post-operative care.
Dr. Jackson is a Creston, Iowa native, and she received her bachelor of science in nursing degree from Creighton University. After graduation, Dr. Jackson worked at Midwest Eye Care as registered nurse assisting several ophthalmologists. She returned to college in 2004, and earned her doctor of optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 2008. Through the UAB optometric program, Dr. Jackson completed externships at the Tuscaloosa Veteran’s Administration and Midwest Eye Care.
After completing optometry school, Dr. Jackson spent an additional year completing a residency in ocular disease and low vision at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Dr. Jackson joined Midwest Eye Care in August 2009. Dr. Jackson is licensed for the practice of optometry by the state examining boards of Iowa and Nebraska. She is a member of the Nebraska Optometric Association, American Optometric Association and American Academy of Optometry.

Dr Jackson is the Best of the Best. Top tier and couldn’t recommend her any higher if possible. She brings energy and excitement to every visit. She knows her stuff and is quick and efficient. I go into a depression for months after leaving because I know I will not feel that positive energy until I see her again. But I can see! Praise be! So that is a wonderful gift she provides the world. Her team is amazing. Go SEE Dr. Jackson!
