I went in for a refill on my anxiety/depression medication and that my only priority. I’ve dealt with anxiety my entire life, just to be told by this doctor that I should try a trial with Ozempic because “if you lose weight, you will have self confidence. Therefore, you will have less anxiety”. I am self aware enough to see that logic, but as someone who suffers with debilitating anxiety, it was beyond ridiculous. Yes, I’ll feel good looking in a mirror, but I have to sit with my thoughts even when I look away. My anxiety never ever goes away. It was the most ridiculous experience that I have ever had with a doctor before and beyond invalidating towards my feelings. I was already in tears in the office due to my anxiety. I’m surprised that the visit didn’t give me a full blown panic attack. I will never ever be seeing this doctor again.
