I really did not like the intern coming in on his own to treat me but being completely unprepared and ignorant of my problem and what’s expected during this treatment follow-up. It was a waste of my time.

Although I didn't want to hear "stay off that foot" and "let's give it 6 more weeks (a couple of times)", everything healed and worked out just like Dr. Ruter said it would. He easily explains what needs to be done and why and answers all of your questions. I highly recommend him!

Says it like it is & we appreciate that! As a result of testing, f it can't be fixed he will tell you! He will take the steps to assure us that he has done what is possible at the time! As someone with many chromic & medical conditions? I appreciate him & his assurances! He solved issues with my left foot after seeing a few physicians that truly tried & just never got to the end result! He's great!

Straight forward and honest

I have seen many doctors for the same multiple foot issues and Dr Ruter has listened to my concerns he didn't just feed me pills and send me to therapy he made sure I was happy with the prognosis and I am happy to say my foot pain is getting resolved, I would 100 percent recommend him for any foot and nerve problems

Great doctor super personality

I was unable to go in with my husband because of my own medical needs. Never saw Dr Rueter. They cut his nails but left his compression stocking up to his ankle. Never pulled them down back over his feet like they were when he went in. His feet are very dry and they didn’t even take 2 minutes to lotion them before leaving. It’s obvious they don’t care. We will be looking for a new doctor. It’s shameful.

Amazing!!! Dr. Ruter has the greatest bedside manner!! He truly cares for his patients, he has always been quite conservative in is approach with my surgical care and always looks to do the least invasive treatment possible. He has always tried a variety of treatments first and surgery as a last option. I am so grateful for his concern for all aspects of my care and makes certain to do whatever he can to make me as comfortable as possible. I am very thankful Dr. Ruter's expertise in Charcot Neuropathy. After an incorrect diagnosis by ANOTHER podiatrist in the area, that led to (2) major surgeries, a month in the hospital, talk of amputation, 5 weeks in a rehabilitation facility, I finally have the correct diagnosis.

He seemed more concerned about a pain scale. I gave him the number 7 and he then proceeded to give me a pain scale to give him a answer again, which according to his pain scale made my pain a 6, pointless! I waited almost 45 minutes to see him only for 3-5 mins. He reasoned some people stub their toe and want to be seen; this was my second visit so obviously I’m still in pain and I was not there for a stub toe. Did not see the point of him making that comment. My first visit with him was pleasant but the second was so frustrating.

I highly recommend Dr. Ruter. He is very professional and very good at finding a solution for the issue. Yet on top of that, Dr. Ruter takes the time to listen to me and answer questions as needed. I’ve been to other places and they often rush through things and this is not the case.
