Dr. Aaron Bates is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Md. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at UF Health in Jacksonville, Fl. and later completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
Previously, Dr. Bates has served as the team physician for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Jacksonville Sharks. During his medical training, he helped to cover the Houston Astros and the Houston Texans. Currently, he is the team physician for the Jacksonville Icemen and Clay County high schools.

It was almost like I had played sports with him and I knew him my whole life within minutes. Seriously, really cool man. You shall see. I normally don’t leave reviews for anybody either but this guy is the real deal.
My shoulder replacement went well! What else can I say?!! Dr. Bates explained everything well. I’m 80yo and I just saw him again for the other shoulder. Hopefully I can get by with out surgery on this one. His staff are great too.
