Excellent physician!!! My husband was very comfortable with him. I'm an RN and used to the jargon. However, Dr. Bates broke down in layman's terms what needed to be done, so that hubby GOT IT.

First visit to schedule Surgery since my other Doctor left the practice. I was very impressed and now happy the other Doctor left. Great communication and made me feel at ease with the upcoming procedure.

My appointment with Dr. Bates was for a workman’s comp shoulder injury. I accidentally went to the wrong location and arrived late, but he was still kind enough to see me. Dr. Bates was very professional and took the time to thoroughly explain my injury, including how the different parts of the shoulder work together. He patiently addressed all my concerns and made sure I understood my next steps. I truly appreciated his professionalism, compassion, and the time he took to make sure I felt informed and cared for.

Dr. Aaron Bates is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Md. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at UF Health in Jacksonville, Fl. and later completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
Previously, Dr. Bates has served as the team physician for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Jacksonville Sharks. During his medical training, he helped to cover the Houston Astros and the Houston Texans. Currently, he is the team physician for the Jacksonville Icemen and Clay County high schools.
