I honestly cannot say enough good things about my surgeon. From the very beginning, I have felt like I was in the best possible hands—and this is not my first experience with him. I have now had three surgeries with him, and every single time, he has been nothing short of outstanding.
The results I’m seeing this time have been incredible, and my recovery has gone so well that even the people around me keep asking, “Who did your surgery?” That alone speaks volumes.
When you’ve been through multiple surgeries, you learn how important it is to trust the person holding your future mobility in their hands. I have complete confidence in him, his skill, and his care.
I am incredibly grateful to have had a surgeon who not only knows what he’s doing, but genuinely cares about getting his patients the best possible outcome.
Three surgeries, three times in great hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get back to doing the things I love.

Very quietly thorough. Told me exactly what my issues were and offered me multiple courses of action going forward. Very well informed coming into the exam room, making himself prepared for any of my questions. A perfect teen, and not too hard to look at, either.

Dr. Aaron Bates is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Md. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at UF Health in Jacksonville, Fl. and later completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
Previously, Dr. Bates has served as the team physician for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Jacksonville Sharks. During his medical training, he helped to cover the Houston Astros and the Houston Texans. Currently, he is the team physician for the Jacksonville Icemen and Clay County high schools.
