Aamir Ahmed, M.D.

Dr. Aamir Ahmed, M.D. is a cardiologist specializing in cardiac electrophysiology, with advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan and earned his medical degree from Central Michigan University College of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Rush University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University at Buffalo and advanced fellowship training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Northwestern University’s McGaw Medical Center.

Dr. Ahmed is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and is a Diplomate of the National Board of Echocardiography in Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography. His academic and research interests include cardiac arrhythmias, implantable cardiac devices, sudden cardiac death prevention, and cardiovascular outcomes. He has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations focused on electrophysiology and cardiovascular care.

In addition to his clinical and research experience, Dr. Ahmed has been actively involved in medical education, mentorship, and community service. He is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society, American College of Cardiology, and American Society of Echocardiography
