Surgeries performed by Dr. Lindsay include: general orthopedic fracture care (broken bones in the arms or legs), as well as a variety of spine procedures, including discectomy, laminectomy, spinal fusions, cervical disc arthroplasty, cervical laminoplasty, and fracture stabilization and treatment. His special interest is in minimally invasive techniques, including microlaminectomy and microdiscectomy, as well as minimally invasive CT navigated fusion surgery, which use smaller incisions to still effectively treat the sources of pain in the spine.
Asheville is Dr. Lindsay’s hometown, though he has been away for 15 years prior to joining EmergeOrtho. He attended Virginia Tech for his undergraduate degree where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biological Sciences. He received his M.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, and completed his orthopedic residency training in the historic University of Iowa Department of Orthopedics. After residency, he received additional training and experience in spine surgery at the University of Wisconsin Spine Surgery Fellowship, where he learned a variety of techniques from national and international leaders in the field. He is excited to be back home in the mountains of Western North Carolina, and in his free time enjoys hiking, biking, and being outdoors with his family.
He practices at EmergeOrtho’s South Asheville location, and operates at AdventHealth Hendersonville Hospital where he is the Medical Director of the Spine Center of Excellence, and also holds privileges at Pardee Hospital and Western Carolina Surgery Center.

Excellent visit. Good communication and questions answered.
very professional, knowledgeable and helpful.
Cared enough to exhaust all options to come to a conclusion
He spoke clearly and explained in detail what to expect with surgery.
Very knowledgeable. I appreciate Dr. Lindsay's concern for my health problems.
Dr Lindsay is very nice and knowledgeable. He set me up with PT which took away my pain in my back after three sessions. If I ever have back issues again I will definitely be visiting him. I am suggesting him to anyone I know who his back issues.
I cannot be more pleased with his care across the board for my neck issues. As soon as I am fully recovered, I will be having him address my serious low back issues. I think that is the highest recommendation possible.
Very good professional mannerisms
Easy to talk with him. He answered all my questions in a way that was understandable
Was not sympathetic to my health anxiety. Didn't fully explain what my options was and I left confused and left with my anxiety thru the roof.
