I had the 'double up' endoscopy and colonoscopy. All went well.

He has always been great! Very forthcoming with communication!!

Even though I arrived 9:45 for a 10:30 appt. My escort still had to remind them I was here twice. And wasn't put in a room til 10:45. He didn't come in for another 10 min or so. I ended up losing the scheduled ride home and had to call for another.

I had very little face to face time with Dr. Patel. He came in to have me sign a consent form and left. I saw him walking back and forth in the hall outside my room talking on his cell phone for long periods of time. I was scheduled for a 2:30 appointment and didn't get in until 3:40. No explanations were given for the long wait. It felt very impersonal and frustrating.

I was unhappy with my first appt but thought I’d give him a 2nd chance. It was no better. The only time he “sees” me is when he opens the door. For the rest of the appt, he sits and types on his computer. I expressed 2 concerns of mine and his only reply was “hmm” as he continued to type. I won’t be returning to this clinic. I suppose when I make a complaint to his superiors, he can say he saw me, look at my notes”. I felt like pulling out my phone and playing a game while he typed and never asked me questions or explained the scope and fibroscan I had.

I would have given him a five, but he was late coming in.

I have been a patient of Dr Patel for many years. He is top-notch in his profession. He has a elegant and magnetic personality. He is always joyfull and kind. He listens to my complaints and provides a resolution in a gentle manner which is what I require. He knows stuff and is always able to provides the healing I need. I waited from late October to February 1st for this and he maybe spent 2 minutes with me. He is really good at doing colonoscopies but is very short and quick when it comes to appointments.

Apparently my prep for the colonoscopy did not work. I did have a polyp that was found and now I need to do another one. Nobody came to talk to me about the polyp found. I was just told by an assistant,” You didn’t do the prep.” Which is completely not true. Would have liked to speak about the polyp and what the issue with my preparation might be but was nit given an opportunity.

Such a wonderful experience. I got both my EGD and my colonoscopy done. The instructions were very clear. The prep was not too bad and definitely worth the health benefits. Phone access needs improvement. I tried to call office 4 or 5 times and couldn’t get through. Couldn’t even leave a message. Recommend anesthesiologist tell patient he is about to inject solution. Sudden stinging made me flinch thinking the needle was being pulled .

I was called two days before to come in early. I arrived at 6:45, checked in and then was the 2nd person to be taken inside and fitted. After 1:10 i had to go to the bathroom and heard members of the staff talk about Dr. Patel being late quite often. I finally was taken in for the procedure after 1 hour and 20 minutes. He never gave me any indication of the results after the procedure.

The procedure performed by Dr. Bhaktasharan was very quick and painless. After the IV was placed in my arm, the doctor explained the process and the next thing I know, I was waking up and the procedure was complete. I would recommend Peak Gastroenterology Associates for this procedure.

The doctor came in to see me right before the procedure. Not to apologize for being an hour late or if I had any questions but only for the purpose of signing a form. When I asked if he would be speaking to my wife he said yes. He ended up not speaking to my wife.

Dr. Patel was very thorough and took quite a bit of time to review my extensive medical history and my current concerns. I appreciated Dr. Patel taking immediate action with appropriate labs and future procedures. He scheduled me himself, which I thought was super kind, being that he could have easily sent me to the scheduling department. Being an RN, with an MD as a husband, we both thought that Dr. Patel went above and beyond for me during the appointment. We feel very lucky to have found him to be part of my care team.

I appreciated him taking the time to explain in layman's terms about my situation. Especially why he wanted me to have another colonoscopy this year. The prep for them is so awful, I was not happy about having another one so soon. But he helped me understand the importance, and maintaining my health is very important to me.

I had to ask if he was the doctor, did not introduce himself. Offered little to no information about the procedure or follow up.

The staff was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. As for the Doctor he said 4 words to me. "Can you sign this" Otherwise he treated me with indifference. Honestly, I didn't even know he was the doctor because he didn't introduce himself. When I went to the room for the procedure he was there. Again not a peep from him. Still didn't know if he was the doc. This was not confirmed for me until I saw his photo in this survey. My overall experience was great. I just think Doctor Patel needs to work on his bedside manner.

I guess everything went well. The Dr barely said a word to me before the surgery. He didn’t even introduce himself. He just came in with a paper and said sign this please. And I didn’t see him at all after the surgery.

Came in bleeding and Dr Patel never took a look. He just said need to get you in for a colonoscopy tomorrow. Scheduler called me and said my BMI is too high and I have to get this done at the hospital. First available appointment is June 17th. End up having to go to the ER since this practice doesn’t care of someone is bleeding. They could not admit me to the hospital. Think a medical office would have a plan in place if the doctor wants them to get a colonoscopy the next day. So this will end up costing us more since the doctors office refused to call the hospital and get me admitted right away.

Uh .. I don't remember a thing - which in other circumstances would not be cool but in this case is a very good thing!

I only met Dr Patel for a moment (except for when I was under and he performed my colonoscopy) but he seemed nice.

This was the rudest most inconsiderate doctor I have ever met in my life he did not look me in the eye he did not want to hear my side of the story he wouldn't do anything I asked him to do he was horrible!! He has no empathy or feelings for his patients I would never recommend anyone to go back to him ever and I complained to my doctor about him.

Dr. Patel did a great job, once he got there. He kept patients and staff waiting for almost an hour for the afternoon appointments. Must've had a long lunch.

This rating does not reflect the high level of experience of the doctor. I was confident that his expertise was beneficial. I did feel it was a "warehouse" process lining everyone up for their respective procedures. The staff was very friendly and caring. The preparation area was cramped and not very private. I have 20 years of experience with upper endoscopy procedures (this one was my 10th). The doctor was running behind on a Friday afternoon. He came into my prep area and said hello...."I need a couple of signatures". That was the only communication from his the entire time. The discharge nurse gave me the report and I was done. Again, I had concerns about his professional ability.

Years ago before I moved from Colorado he was my Dr. and he always treated me as a person rather than just a number back then. I always respected that about him and his practice.

I waited for over an hour to be called back, 15 minutes in the exam room. Then waited 15 minutes after seeing the doctor waiting for his medical assistant to give me some information. The medical assistant took my blood pressure through a thick flannel shirt. I trust the doctor and will proceed with his recommendations.

No, "Hello, its nice to meet you or in my case, "How have you been? It's been awhile since you were here." The staff were very kind and personable. I'm sad that they have to work for/with a man with no character values. The end.

He said there was anything he could do for me. No need for EGD because the one from last year was ok and there where no changes in a year. No concern or care about my symptoms. I told him I was concerned about me taking Zantac previously and he replied that it didn't have anything to do with it. Told me to stop taking my current meds for gastritis and prescribed a new one that he said my primary doctor could have prescribed herself. He didn't even check me. Is he a real doctor? You've got to be kidding me!

Hell NO!! I’ve had 2 previous hemorrhoid bandings. This is by far the worst!! I left bleeding in debilitating pain. I couldn’t sit driving home. Cried all the way home. I have never been in this much pain IN MY LIFE!! He seemed like he was in a hurry, possibly last patient for the day. I will wait FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES for doctor Douglas Nguyen!!!
