Dr. Kathresal joined Durham Nephrology in 2009 . Following his medical education at Bangalore University, India, he has trained at University of Arkansas and Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He is Board-Certified in Nephrology and has been practicing medicine for over 10 years. His clinical interests include hypertension, kidney stones and chronic kidney disease.
Was great to talk with. Made me feel like he had no other patients - was not rushed. Great bedside manner.
Excellent in his field! He helped me understand my illness and how to manage it.
Dr Kathresal is amazing, he has been with me through this kidney failure since 2012, couldn't have made it without him! He is a wonderful doctor and friend!

Dr. Kathresal has been my Nephrologist for several years now. By following his advice, I have been doing well. He is thorough in prescribing tests that give the information needed to steer me in the right direction. He is also very personable and supportive of me as a person, not just a patient.
