Katherine Gardner is a nurse practitioner, board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She relocated to St. Augustine from Athens, GA with her family in Spring 2016. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Science (BS) from the University of Georgia in 1994, an Associate’s degree in Nursing (RN) from Athens Technical College in 2006, and a Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN- Family Nurse Practitioner) in 2013.
Her nursing background was entirely in the Emergency Department, where she was Charge Nurse, a Preceptor for new nurses, and served on multiple committees. She gained extensive experience in many acute and emergent urological conditions such as kidney stones, urinary retention and catheter placement, orchitis/epididymitis, UTI and sepsis, and testicular/ovarian torsion. As a nurse practitioner, she has worked both in Urology and Urgent Care.
Katherine has experience and interest in all urological conditions, both male and female, and her goal is to teach patients about their condition(s), treat those conditions to the best of her ability, and make their patients feel a little more at ease discussing what are often very personal and private issues. She is an active nurse practitioner working at our office in St Augustine, FL.
Katherine is married to Dr. Billy Gardner, who is board-certified in Emergency Medicine; Their daughter, Kate is a student at Flagler college; and their son, Will is in high school.
