He was so very nice!! I have moved to Florida from Virginia. Doctor was so efficient in changing some of my medicines for IC. So hopeful that the changes will help. He also set me up for some therapy for the disease. Would definitely recommend him to anyone suffering with bladder issues.

My first visit and it was very good. Dr. Truesdale had some questions for me and when I answered he was really paying attention and provided me with a lot of information and things that can be done for my situation. Changing for my prior urologist to Dr. Truesdale was the best thing I could have done.

Dr. Matthew Truesdale is a Board Certified Urologist for Advanced Urology Institute in Palm Harbor and Largo, FL. He has special interests in Robotic Surgery, Urologic Oncology and Urinary Stone Disease. Dr. Truesdale is originally from Ocala, FL. He then attended Dartmouth College where he earned his B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Social Behavior and studied Spanish literature and art at the Universidad de Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain.
Dr. Truesdale completed his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. During medical school, he completed the prestigious Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship in Urologic Oncology where he studied under his mentors in the Department of Urology at Columbia University completing research on robotic surgery for prostate and kidney cancer.
Dr. Truesdale then completed his 6-year urology residency training at The University of California in San Francisco, in the Department of Urology, which is consistently ranked in the top 5 Urology Departments in the United States by the US News and World Reports. During his residency training, he completed a 1-year surgical education research project and educational curriculum through the Department of Medical Education at The University of California in San Francisco.
In addition to general urology, Dr. Truesdale has a special interest in Urologic Oncology, Reconstruction and Urinary Stone Disease. He has received numerous research grants and published over 20 peer-reviewed manuscripts as well as multiple book chapters.
Dr. Truesdale joins the Advanced Urology Institute after working for two years in the Tampa Bay Area specializing in Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery for prostate and kidney cancer as well as the treatment and prevention of urinary stones.
