Originally from Albany, Georgia, Dr. Edward King, M.D., received an A.B in biochemistry from Dartmouth College and an M.D. from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed a urology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore and has practiced in Ocala and The Villages, Florida since 1996. Dr. King is a past president of the Marion County Medical Society and a former Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the Ocala Regional Medical Center. He has held numerous leadership positions at the Munroe Regional Medical Center (now Advent Health Ocala) including Chief of the hospital’s medical staff and vice-chairman of the Munroe Medical Center Board of Directors.

Dr King is wonderful and I couldn’t ask for a more caring compassionate doctor. On the other hand the woman at the front desk greeting patients is surly rude and clearly unhappy in her job. I would suggest a relocation to a position where she doesn’t have to interact with patients
