ALWAYS an excellent appointment with Dr. Klavans. He is very medically knowledgeable. Been going to him every 6 months for 17 years. He saved my life by removing my cancerous prostate. He treats me as a friend. On a 1 to 10 scale, I give him 500! Thank you Dr. Klavans. Bill Green

Dr. M. Scott Klavans has served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery and has been President of the Medical Staff at Morton Plant Hospital. He has served on multiple committees at the hospital throughout the years. He has been credited with numerous publications. Dr Klavans was instrumental in bringing Robotic Surgery to Pinellas County and performed the first robotic prostatectomy in the county. As of 2024, he has performed over 2,000 robotic prostatectomies (daVinci Surgical System) and is the Co- Chairman of the Robotics Committee for the Morton Plant Health Care System.
