I am surprised that they do not try to find out what is the cause of causes of my problem they just want to give u pills. I could have done that with my PCP.

I’ve had a lot of doctor’s appoints and have never had a doctor take a phone call on their celll while in the room with me.
Besides that, he was dismissive of almost everything I said, he didn’t explain his reasoning for anything he was doing except for “Others do that. I don’t.” And he talked over me multiple times.
It almost felt like he thought I was just trying to get some drugs(testosterone, lol).
I was with my PCP for 7 years and after my testosterone kept dropping, she referred me to a urologist who put me on TRT. Dr Fifer assumed I went to a men’s health clinic and mentioned that a few times, when what actually happened was I trusted my PCP of nearly a decade and who she referred me to a hospital urologist and surgeon. Neither told me I needed an endocrinologist, both went over treatment plans in-depth and we came to TRT.
I respect his treatment plan. There’s a chance he knows more than my other doctors and I’ve been misguided, but his bedside and professionalism was crap

Knowledgeable but somewhat condescending, impatient and arrogant. Was not interested in why I was referred to him about my recent prostititis. Primecare (Dr Kelsey and NP Barbara Thomas) are my primary physicians. They wanted a follow up on my recent prostate infection and made a referral to USI. Dr Fifer only wished to treat a typical enlarged prostate condition for a man my age and informed me that I would be taking this for the rest of my life. I do not know the medication that was sent to my pharmacy but I will research this and ensure that my Primary physician agrees this is the correct direction and this new medication will not impact the 4 medicines for Afib that I am already taking.

I couldn't get a word or a question in when you tell someone that they have cancer it takes a minute to handle that info he pushed me out the door

Was thorough in explaining what was happening with my husband’s kidney stones and discussing treatment options including leaving one alone that would be too invasive for his age to remove and would not cause harm if left alone.
